About International Law & Policy Initiative

Abstract style depicts three people standing and arguing with a courthouse in the background.

Who We Are and What We Do

The Justice & Technology Initiative brings together legal academics, students, and practitioners in research, advocacy, and teaching focused on the opportunities and challenges associated with the mounting ubiquity and significance of technology and data in our society, economy, and environment.

Developing the Next Generation of Law and Technology Professionals

Our students are at the core of what we do at the Justice & Technology Initiative. Students are given the opportunity to take innovative courses, join student communities, and share their views as they begin to embark in this area of thinking and practice.

Three people sit and read.
Five people stand around a futuristic room.

Exploring a Variety of Research Themes

Our community members actively publish, advise, and advocate for policy change in diverse research areas. The Justice & Technology Initiative researchers investigate the challenges and opportunities arising from technology and data’s expanding influence in our society, economy, and environment, amidst the rise of Big Government, Big Data, and Big Tech.
