Upon completion of an honours degree in philosophy at the University of British Columbia, Taya joined the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Taya’s areas of interest include emerging technology regulation, intellectual property laws, access to justice solutions, family law and estate planning.In second year of law school, Taya published a book exploring the experiences of young adult grief and worked as a legal marketing student for Epilogue Wills.While working for the Justice & Technology Lab, Taya did research for the Lab’s ‘What is Law & Technology’ project, the ‘AI & Environmental Impact Assessments’ project, and she was a project manager during the creation of the Justice & Technology Initiative, the International Law & Policy Initiative, and the Indigenous and Aboriginal Laws Initiative.
